Wow how time flies! Rawlins turned three months old on the 6th and it has been so fun watching him grow! He is the happiest, smiliest, loudest, and most loved baby in the world and for the most part he tolerates it all! Here are just a few random pics.

Baptism & Blessing

Kassie was baptized and Rawlins was blessed on the same weekend. It was such a special weekend with family and friends that both drove long distances to share it with us. Eric's parents came from Utah and my parents came from Texas along with my sister Jackie and her husband Keith, and my brother Nelson and his family and my brother Chris and his family. Our friends from Kansas, Dave and Lacey and their family made the treck as well. We are so blessed to have such great and supportive family and friends. Kassie was so excited to be baptized. Her Grandma Thacker made her baptism dress and did a beautiful job! It was amazing. She looked like a little princess in it. We baptized her on saturday and then we blessed Rawlins on Sunday. We changed the date a few times and Kassie thought it was never going to happen. We were originally going to to both in Utah after the Thacker Reunion in July but little boy decided he didn't want to come when he was suppose/when we wanted him to, so due to his stubbornness and a few other circumstances we moved the date a few times. But alas it finally happened and what a neat neat experience!

I knew it was only a matter of time before this would happen. Thank goodness he is growing like a weed and will soon be too big for it to happen again! The girls absolutely love him and just can not leave him alone. For the most part he tolerates it pretty well.

Back to School!

So I am officially a lone woman in the wilderness.... I have no kids at home anymore. Lillie started Pre-K today!:( She was so excited to go to school but She was a bit nervous this morning I think. She kept saying that her tummy hurt and that she couldn't eat her breakfast, but was way excited to put her backpack on and get in the van and go. (Little does she know, this is only the beginning of 15 years of school...) Here in Oklahoma they have to go to pre-K. We were suppose to be able to pick whether we wanted them to go half a day or a full day, but only 13 kids out of 217 pre-k kids requested half a day so for now they are letting us 13 parents pick up our kids at lunch time but I still don't know if that is going to be a permanent thing or if they will just make them go the whole day. We shall see...

The other three girls were so excited to go to school. Emma was a bit nervous but is excited about having 7 different periods! She is growing up way too fast. Allie and Kassie were just excited to get back with there friends. They all met their teacher's last night and found out where their classrooms were and are ready to go!

July Utah Trip!

I thought that I had better post about our Utah trip in July before we go back again in September for Benson and Albree's wedding! We had a fun, fun time in Utah. My mom and Benson and Albree drove up from texas and met us at our house around 4:00pm on Friday night and after a few hours of sleep and dinner we took off for Utah around 8:00pm and drove all night. It was the best way to go. My friend Tairah and her four boys went with us too. Benson and Albree, bless their hearts, ended up with Lillie and Allie and my mom rode with Trairah and I in Tairah's Suberban with her four boys and Kassie. Emma went to Utah a week earlier with Nick and Corie. By the time the kid would have been getting restless, it was dark and they all fell asleep for the night. We only stopped to get gas and once for food in the morning. Hence the pictures of breakfast at McDonalds in Rock Springs, Wy. The kids all did really well and we made it to Carol's around noon on Saturday. 17 hours of driving that we get to do all over again in less then a month!

We stayed at Carol's house the first week and then we headed out to the Thacker's for the last week! We painted wood letters and went to the water park and to Spencer's to ride horses and to the movie "How to Tame Your Dragon" and a whole bunch more while in Utah county! The kids had so much fun playing with cousins and what not.

Our week with the Thacker's started out with the famous "Longhorn Day" parade. The only parade that goes one way and then turns around and comes back..... Only in the Basin! After the parade, we went up the mountain for Eric's Grandma's annual 24th of July breakfast.

The last part of the week was the Thacker Family reunion. Eric flew in Tuesday night and we had family pictures first thing Wednesday Morning and then Headed up the mountain for the rest of the week.
We played a fun game at the reunion. It is was called the flag game I guess. Every family had to decorate their own flag and then hide it somewhere in camp. Not in anything man made though. Then everyone tried to find all the flags and hide them as well, without letting anyone else know. It was a blast. Only a few fights, scratches and bruises while trying to protect or regain a flag!! The family with the most flags, including their own, was the winner! I'll have to admit, Eric and Lillie were a good flag finders and hiders for that matter. We ended up with the most flags, and our flag never changed hands.

Another fun activity Grandma brought was BINGO! The kids had a blast playing. They would play about 20 rounds every night after dinner. Everyone with Bingo got a prize.

I am finally getting around to posting about our trip to TEXAS! It was a ton of fun. It all started out for us with Nick and Corie stopping and staying the night with us on their way down. We left after work on Friday and got to Grandma and Grandpa's around 11:00 at night and the kids all did really good! We got to see Benson and everyone else! We had our annual patriotic program and all the kids had a part on the program along with Albree!

We were in Utah once again for Allie's Birthday! She got to have all her Thacker Family for her birthday party! We just got off the mountain for our family reunion and so Grandpa Thacker went and got her a birthday cake and she enjoyed every minute of it. The best part of all, if you ask her, is that she got to go horse riding with just her and her dad and Uncle Mark and her cousin MicKinley. Seventh Heaven for sure!! Happy Birthday to a awesome, wonderful, and delightful little girl! We love you Allie!

What a fun wild last couple of weeks! We went on a family vacation to Texas for Benson's homecoming and family reunion.(more to come on that)Brady and Allyssa and the boys stopped and stayed the night at our house on their way home from Texas. It just so happened to be Timmy's birthday so we made a cake and celebrated!! The very next day was Kassie's birthday! We went to lunch and went and picked out her present, a Hello Kitty Razor scooter, and then had a dinner birthday party with our friends! It was a fun, fun, time. Happy 7th Birthday Kassie!

Happy Birthday Emma! We had stake conference in Oklahoma City on Emma's Birthday and Father's day so we were in the city and therefor celebrated a little late. She really wanted a panda bear cake so this was my best shot. We had a few friends from the branch come over for cake and ice cream and then went swimming at one of the water parks here in town. I can't believe that she is already 11 years old. One more year and She will be in young womens! She has started to babysit a lot, not only for me but for a few of the neighbors as well. She is a good girl and loves to help out. Happy Birthday Emma!!

Happenings

School is out for another year!! Lille and I are so excited to have the kids home all day. We are ready for summer and all the fun things that summer brings. The last couple of months have been crazy and it will be nice to slow down a little bit. (for a few days anyways)

The three older girls played soccer this spring. Emma's team took first in the age group and first in the league! They all enjoyed it and had a good time doing their best.

The schools here put on a one day track meet and the three older girls participated in that as well. They all placed in at least one event!!

Emma had an art show with the things that she had made in her art class and won three ribbons on the four pieces she entered! She was so excited to see ribbons on her art work. Way to go!!

Lille was our one man cheer club! After about the third soccer game of about 100, she was done and after about the first hour of an all day track meet, all she wanted was to go home! Needless to say she is a home body but she was a trooper!

I don't even know where to start. The last 11 years have been such a learning experience for me. With highs and lows and everything in between, it is finally over. (the school part) We are so blessed to have the family and support that we have that have made it all possible for Eric to finish school and move on! Our families have been there for us every step of the way and for that I am truly greatful.

We got to go back to Utah last weekend so Eric could walk. Silly I know but what an awesome experience! He deserved the lime light for a few minutes and I think it was good for the girls to see the end product of years of learning and what sacrifice and hard work can lead to. So congratulations Eric, and Thank You, Thank You to all our friends and family that have been with us every step of the way!

A New Addition!

Meet Sue. After a long awaited 3 or 4 months, we now have our new dog. She is suppose to be the top of the top and do the best of the best dog stuff, so we will see if she holds up to all she is claimed to be. So far she has and the girls just love her and needless to say, Eric does to! We took a little family road trip to pick her up in North Platte Nebraska and had a blast! If anything else, we got a little vacation out of Sue! Good times...

And just a fun picture I took of Lillie today just after she got out of the bath. I found her in the bathroom looking like this! I don't know where she was headed or what she was planning to do but she sure cracked me up!

I'm a Big Girl Now!!

Lillie was sitting on my lap when I happened to be reading Nick and Corie's blog about Kate learning to ride a two wheeler. That's all it took. Lillie said, "I want to try that." So since Emma is the one who has helped all the girls learn to ride a two wheeler she went right to her and had Emma take off her training wheels. I thought that she might just higher the training wheels so that they wouldn't touch the ground but still be there in case she needed them, but no they came all the way off and in about 20 minutes Emma came in and said mom you are not going to believe this but Lillie is already riding without training wheels all by herself. She has been riding it non stop ever since. It is all I can do to get her to come in for bed! Just like that I don't have a little girl anymore, they are all grown up. No bottles, dippers, binkies, potty training and now no training wheels. Thanks Kate for the inspiration!!

Spring Break!

We went to see Grandma and Grandpa Cluff in Texas for Spring Break. We had such a good time. Nelson and Valerie live in Texas as well and came to spend the weekend too. In all we had 8 little girls and 1 little boy! The girls loved playing with their cousins and making up dances!

We went and took a tour of the Blue Bell Creamerie where they make the famous ice cream. It was neat to watch them make the ice cream and package it.

After the yard work was done we went to Gatti town, a place like Chuck E Cheese. The girls loved it and had a blast. Then Grandpa decided to get a basket ball hoop so we helped him put that up as well.

Dances, Dances, and more Dances. The girls were always "practicing" for their dances and then putting them on for us, inside and out. Look close and you will see the makeup! They didn't hold anything back.

The Tooth/ Teeth Story!

Kassie lost her first tooth/teeth last night! She was so excited. She has been "waiting for a long time" to loose that first tooth. All of her friends have already lots at least two or three and she just couldn't understand why she hadn't lost any yet. It was her two bottom front teeth. When they were barely moving she had Jackie try and pull them out on numerous occasions before we even moved! Thanks Jackie because heaven knows I won't do it. It just grosses me out! So you asked who pulled them out with Jackie being in Utah and Eric in Denver on business, well, Emma stepped up literally and took care of it for us! She accidentally kicked Kassie in the chin while getting of the top bunk and bat-ta boom their they were, well one anyways, the other was "hanging on" in Kassie's words and so she just "yanked" it out! Now all in one night she has caught up to most of her friends. Finally!

Oklahoma!

First of all I just want to say thank you to Eric's parents and all his brothers and his uncle who helped us pack up and drive to Oklahoma. Then when we got here they unpacked everything we packed. They were a huge help. Thank you, thank you. A huge thank you to Carolee for coming up and helping me clean and pack the Richmond house and to Jackie and Keith too, for helping clean and load, Thank you, thank you. Thank you to my parents as well who meet us here and helped unpack. We are truly blessed to have such a great family that that are so willing to help out where ever they can.

We arrived in Oklahoma on Friday the 15th of January and have now been here a week. What a week it has been. Eric started his new job and absolutely loves it. He couldn't have written a better job description if he had to. It is like Christmas! He gets home everyday at 3:30 - 4:00 and doesn't know what to do with himself (and neither do I). The girls started their new school and are adjusting pretty well. Kassie and Allie go to the Elementary and Emma goes by herself to the middle school. I was a little worried about Emma but she seems to really like it and is getting right into the swing of things. Allie, on the other hand, misses her friends and her "school back home". The last couple of days have been a lot better than the first half of the week. I think Allie's real issue is that they are a lot more strict here and she just isn't used to it. (In the long run it is probably exactly what Allie needs)! Kassie just loves it all. Lillie loves not having anything to do all day. She asks everyday what is on the agenda and if we have to pack or go to the store. When I tell her we don't have to go anywhere or pack anything, she is the happiest person on earth. She always wants to stay home and "babysit myself" when it is time to go get the girls from school. She is a home body and loves to just stay home.

It is that time of year again and I love it!! We have already had the Cluff Christmas party and the ward Christmas party and I still can't get enough... When Grandma and Grandpa Cluff were up for Thanksgiving the paid Jackie and I a visit up here in Logan and went with us to cut our Christmas Trees down. We found both of the trees in less then 30min and if you can believe, our is the best one we have had yet! Tis the Season!

This year girls reunion was up in Heber. We had a blast doing pedicures, eating, knitting, knitting, and did I say Knitting?? Jane was a trooper with the patience of Job. She patiently taught us all how to knit Christmas stockings. We started out Thursday in Lehi getting pedicures and eating dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and then heading up the canyon to the Trends West in Heber. Friday, after a long night, thanks to Corie and her back problem, we started knitting at 6:30 am and didn't stop until Carol finished hers at 1:30 am! (We did take a short break for a swim.) It was tonz of fun/frustration for some of us. We stayed in our pajamas all day and just knitted away! Saturday was our shopping day. We headed up to the outlets in Park City and shopped away! Then we meet up with dad at Olive Garden for lunch! Thanks Dad! After lunch everyone headed home or to the airport. It was a fun weekend. Until next year.........

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Thacker's for Halloween this year and the girls totally and completely enjoyed themselves. They loved going tick or treating with the cousins and staying at Grandmas. It was such a fun weekend. Emma and her two cousins were the three stooges. Allie and Kassie went as the wicked witch of the East and the wicked witch of the West. Lillie went as a butterfly. They actually went trick or treating for their fist time ever. We usually just do the ward trunk or treat. They thought the real thing was so much better. They came away with a ton of candy and not much sleep. So on to a "real enjoyable" week!!

I know I am way late but better late then never, right?? Here are a few pics from Emma, Allie and Kassie's birthday parties. Lillie felt a little left out with her birthday being in December but what do you do? I told the girls they could all have a party this year since we haven't been here for the last three summers and this will most likely be our last summer here in Richmond. Needless to say, they were kind of big parties!! But they had a ton of fun!

Emma had a movie theater party. We had pizza and popcorn and lots of drinks and candy. Jackie and Keith came over and set up the projector outside and they watched a movie on the tramp. She wanted cheese cake for her birthday cake so thats what she got. I let all the girls choose where they wanted to go out to lunch on their birthdays a well. Emma choose Wingers!

Allie had a girly party! Jackie came over and helped me paint and put stickers and 12 little girls fingers! Then they played steel the flag and red rover red rover! Allie got a fingernail bottle birthday cake and choose to go to Sizzler for her birthday lunch! Her very most favorite place to eat!

Kassie had a flip flop water party! Everyone came over with their swimming suits and towels and we played water games and had a blast! Kassie is still a little young I guess and choose none other than McDonald's for her birthday lunch! She choose a flip flop cake to go along with the water theme. I can't find the pictures from her birthday party and the better ones of her cake so these will have to do!

First Day of School!

School has begun! The girls were so excited for their first day of school. Kassie is gone all day this year, being in the first grade, and so it is just me and Lillie bug all day long! Needless to say Lillie gets a little bored without her sisters around. Kassie loves first grade and eating lunch at school. Allie is in the third grade and isn't quite sure what to think. I think she is more nervous than excited. Emma is in the fifth grade and loves her teacher and the idea that she is the oldest in the school! We have been walking/riding bikes to school while the weather is still good. The girls love it and Lillie even rides her little bike with training wheels the whole way. No more strollers for me!! (kind of sad actually)

I can't believe summer is almost gone and school is here. Where did the summer go? The girls had been begging Eric to "add on" to thier tree house for months. Since there was only a few more days of summer left he gave in a put a roof on it and let them go to town with the paints. They had such a good time. Care free and footloose, this is what you get!

I can't believe that Allie is old enough to be baptized! She was baptized on her birthday, July 31st, which she thought was pretty cool! Thanks to Grandma Thacker who made her dress and did an amazing job! Thanks to Aunt Jodi and Aunt Michelle for giving the talks! We had everyone over for desserts afterwords and had a great time! Thanks to all of those who made it!!

For the Fourth of July we went with Jackie and Keith and Nick and Corie to the Cruise In! We got home from the family reunion around noon and then headed to the car show that evening in Logan. It was a good time. It has been awhile since we had been. The kids thought all the different cars were neat! After the car show we headed to none other then the "Blue Bird" to have dinner and then off to Jackie and Keith's apartment to some fireworks. The kids loved the sparklers and the grand finale that the guys let off!

We went up to the Onieda Narrows for our Cluff Family Reunion this year. It was a blast and we had such a great time even though there was not even half of us there and I was the second oldest of the siblings there (originally number eight in the family). Six of the fourteen made it so there was still plenty of us.
